Start now! Auckland’s annual event, these events are amazing

New Zealand Chinese Herald Network Comprehensive Friends in Auckland, the artistic atmosphere is about to fill up!

The annual event Auckland Arts Festival (AAF) will take place across the city from March 5th to 22nd. For 18 days, there are a variety of stunning performances and artistic activities that are not to be missed.

Especially the City Encounters series at Aotea Square in the city center, all of which are free! It’s the perfect place to invite your sisters to shoot blockbusters and feel the festive atmosphere.

Must-see art installations (big blockbusters)

-Evanescent: A dreamy color like bubbles, with stunning light and shadow effects.

-Helios: The giant art work Helios, the sun god, is very suitable for taking pictures. It is a technological installation and a must-visit series (in the Town Hall from the 7th to the 15th).

-Festival Garden & Heart Tāmaki: Turn the city center into an art garden, and with its colors, the atmosphere is full.

family activity day

Special reminder

If you can’t wait until next week, there’s a super cool art carnival happening in Mt Albert tomorrow (February 28th, 12pm-4pm).

This is the first Art Blast event. Rocket Park will bring together local artists, performers and residents to bring you an immersive experience of live art, from sculptures and interactive installations to poetry, short plays and performance art. Artists will challenge the limit of time and compete face-to-face in creation. They will also lead interactive sessions, workshops, live sculptures, interactive installations and more. Live music brings the park to life, and multiple food trucks offer a variety of tempting treats.

Come to the event site and feel the beating of artistic DNA!
