The rally was initiated by “March for Australia,” a group that claims to be a “grassroots alliance of nationalists, patriots and ordinary Australians”, with the goal of opposing the federal government’s ongoing large-scale immigration policy.

2GB host Ben Fordham claimed this week that Australia currently accepts 1,544 new immigrants from overseas every day, equivalent to five full Boeing 787 passenger planes.

The rally in six capital cities has been confirmed and more locations will be announced in the coming days.

“We are also organizing gathering locations in key remote towns to ensure that people across Australia can participate. Darwin, Tasmania, and some remote cities in Queensland and Victoria are all in preparation.”

“This will be one of the largest gatherings nationwide in recent years.”

The Sydney rally will be held in Belmore Park in the city centre, while tens of thousands of people will gather outside the Flinders Street train station in Melbourne.

Other confirmed locations include Roma Street Parklands in Brisbane, and Supreme Court Gardens in Perth.

The meeting locations in Adelaide and Canberra will also be announced soon.

The movement has sparked intense controversy, with former reality star and internet celebrity Abbie Chatfield criticizing the rally for being “racist and prejudiced.”

Earlier this week, Albanese government Home Minister Tony Burke also criticized the rally for being “inconsistent with the Australian spirit” and said it would only “undermine national unity.”

“Our country does not allow those who attempt to divide and undermine social cohesion. We stand with modern Australia and oppose these gatherings – nothing is more incompatible with the Australian spirit than this.”

March for Australia immediately responded online, accusing Burke of owning six properties and saying that the party’s policies directly pushed up rents and caused housing shortages.

“He should represent the public, but profit from his own regulatory system. How qualified is such a person to criticize the public with vicious criticism? This irony is self-evident.”

The organizer also reminded participants this week that they can apply for the Australian flag for free from federal MPs or senators in their constituencies.

“We hope to form a sea of flags at the rally on the 31st. If you don’t have a national flag yet, please take advantage of this opportunity.”

The organization also emphasized that they have no connection with the “National Socialist Network”, “White Australia” and “Thomas Sewell Uncensored” of the neo-Nazi nature.

“Due to the formation of March for Australia, our organizers come from a diverse political background. No organizers are associated with National Socialist Network, White Australia or Thomas Sewell Uncensored,” the group said.

“In addition, our organizers are not affiliated with any Israeli, Zionist, Jewish or Palestinian groups.”

“Any attempt to use March for Australia hijacking on other issues or focusing on a particular group does not fit the spirit of the movement.”

The group also reiterated that the rally was “peaceful” and was not intended to incite hatred or violence.

“We will gather in a peaceful way to defend our flag, our people, and demand an end to mass immigration.”

“If violence happens this day, it will be in line with the government and the lobby groups that promote unrestricted immigration, and they can easily deny millions of Australians who are demanding an end to mass immigration on the grounds of ‘violence’.”

The organization also stressed that no goods will be sold and donations will be accepted.

“We don’t want your money, we just hope you can come to the scene with the Australian flag.”
